This is how Don Italo (distinguished priest of Ravarano) wrote in 1954 about this particular hamlet of the Municipality of Calestano which, at around 700 m above sea level, dozes at the foot of the Castle of the same name. “Ravarano, an Apennine village” he calls it, quoting an old popular song from the 1920s, a picturesque village with a magical fairy-tale feel that stands on the Via Longobarda and is made up of a few stone houses that do not hide typically medieval details.
